The Mauritius Senegal DTAA which was signed in April 2002 and entered into force in September 2004 has been terminated. However, in accordance with Article 29 of the DTAA, the agreement will continue to apply, in Senegal, up to 31 December 2019, and, in Mauritius, up to 30 June 2020.  Moreover we understand that a technical committee from the Mauritian relevant authority would be meeting Senegalese counterparts from 04 to 08 November 2019 in Senegal to re-negotiate a new DTAA between the two countries.  In addition, the Mauritian Prime Minister who attended the TICAD 7 Summit held in Japan in August last already had a bilateral meeting with the President of Senegal in respect to the renegotiated DTAA.
